UFG is looking for an Agency Services Manager to join our team who will focus on leading the execution of agency services and supporting field operations in market engagement.
Leads a team of agency marketing associates who provides varied assistance to regional leadership, field operations and business units, including the preparation and maintenance of all agency contracts and producer licenses.
This is an agency-facing role that fosters strong collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Support UFG’s field operations and business units in market engagement by servicing the company’s independent agency distribution channel.
Responsible for overseeing contracting services to include national appointments, new contracts, M&A, and licensing.
Serve as point of contact for contracting purposes for all national agencies.
Work with the National Insurance Producer Registry on all data criteria changes needed for submissions to each state.
Build positive business relationships with agents, employees, vendors, and other business partners.
Manage agency compensation, profit sharing and guaranteed supplemental compensation (GSC) agreements, commissions, and sales incentives programs.
Manage agency profit sharing plans, including lock-in and buy-down features of the plans and distribution of the checks to the agents.
Responsible for validating contingency calculations, exceptions, and special contracts.
Manage agency tiering and distribution of the tier scores and scorecards.
Assist with and ensure the efficient and effective utilization of data and intel, CRM system, and data delivery to provide exceptional service to agency partners and support to field operations.
Continually monitor the accuracy of information in the CRM including agency information, producer licensing, UFG staffing assignments and print/delivery preferences for agents.
Serve as a resource for CRM and provide input and guidance to other systems for integration and utilization.
Evaluate, identify, and execute efficient and streamlined business processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
Experience:
7+ years of insurance related experience
Leadership and managerial experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Excellent understanding of the independent agency system, especially the dynamics of the relationship between the agency and the carrier.
Ability to direct, lead and motivate employees so that work gets done, through them, in a timely and efficient manner.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with people from many disciplines with varying degrees of business and technical experience.
Strong understanding of UFG’s business; understand and deal with business situations in a manner that will lead to a positive outcome.
Strong leadership and project management skills (e.

organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective management.
