Our client is looking to add a Safety & Risk Leader to their team.
As a Safety & Risk Leader you will work closely with the executive team and their family of companies to identify and improve gaps within the safety and risk management programs.
The ideal candidate will promote a positive safety culture and willing to travel approximately 35% of the time to various locations as needed.
This individual would be a key contributor and advocate for improvement and engagement for the Safety and Risk programs.
A motivated self-starter with exceptional communication skills that is goal orientated and completes tasks quickly and efficiently with the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.

Primary Duties:
Communication
Regularly communicate with team members and stakeholders to optimize individual and team performance.
Provide data for verification and distribution to help leadership make informed decisions.
Employee Files
Maintain employee safety and training records, including distribution of training materials for operational units.
Workers Comp
Keep employee injury files up to date by maintaining records of all reported injuries and updating medical records as they are submitted.
Coordinate with site or area managers to ensure compliance with Workers Compensation systems utilized throughout different locations.
Coordinate with Workers Compensation and Insurance Operations to review, analyze and process employee injuries and property damage incidents.
Coordinate care and requirements with site or area managers.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA recordkeeping requirements
Assist in field and on-site safety inspections.
Provide Routine Dashboard Reports
Maintain multiple worksheets that track leading indicator training throughout all company managed work sites.
Maintain numerous, integrated, worksheets for tracking multiple data sources from all sites and areas.
Safety Incentives program
Administer the safety incentives program, including tracking completion at sites and areas, preparing distributions of incentives, and coordinating and tracking payroll and/or funds distributions.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in administrative, safety, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Willing to consider new graduate from an accredited safety program.
Certification or training in quality preferred.
Ability to coordinate a strategy plan.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Microsoft Excel is used extensively in this role.
Updates and communicates programs and procedures in compliance with company standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel as needed.
Physical Demands:
The Safety Coordinator must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
The Safety Coordinator will work primarily the field at our locations and will also be required to conduct safety inspections in various locations, including manufacturing facilities, layer bans housing live poultry, and other areas where potential hazards may exist.
The job may require some local travel.
