This role in summary Whirlpool is looking for an OT (Operational Technology) Cybersecurity Manager for its North America region (NAR).
The NAR OT Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for the execution of the manufacturing cyber security roadmap and the Whirlpool Manufacturing Cybersecurity policy.
They will work with a cross-functional team and in some cases external vendors or consultants to pilot and deploy solutions that will secure the current and future manufacturing operating environment.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and navigate large corporate Operational Technology networks with segregated IT/OT functions with connected machines for Manufacturing Execution System and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition and will be able to build close relationships with key manufacturing plants and Global IT Cybersecurity and Enterprise Infrastructure stakeholders.
They will be an expert on the OT security frameworks (specifically NIST 800-82R3T), protocols, best practices, as well as manufacturing digital transformation.
They will be able to collaborate with both the global security team and manufacturing operations to translate these into effective security solutions that align with business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include In this position, you will lead a team to shape the technical landscape and ongoing operations of the Manufacturing Cybersecurity product line by partnering with manufacturing and cybersecurity stakeholders.
You will: Participate in the cross-functional end-to-end OT cybersecurity strategy development delivering insights on manufacturing technology landscapes, environmental factors, emerging trends, innovations, best practices, and industry activity.
Design and deploy scalable solutions that support the Whirlpool Manufacturing Cybersecurity policy and NIST 800-82R3.
Provide effective leadership to multi-disciplined teams that are deploying and maintaining OT cybersecurity solutions including maturing a cross-functional team that: builds out cyber processes and procedures, performs site cyber risk assessments, coordinates remediation, responds to cyber incidents and provides cyber consultation at each manufacturing site.
Lead ongoing security processes by: employing secure configuration management processes, defining and documenting how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment and evaluating Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) technical strategies and security operations strategies.
Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree Security certification, such as: CISSP, CISM or similar cybersecurity technical certification(s) 3+ years of OT cybersecurity experience supervising or leading a team in a manufacturing environment 1+ years of experience working with NIST 800-82R3 framework, cybersecurity products (such as Claroty) Preferred skills and experiences Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems CCSP, TOGAF certification 1+ years of experience with secure design principles and best practices 5+ years of Rockwell Automation controls experience 5+ years of Manufacturing systems experience RSRWH Additional information Whirlpool’s Ways of Working Our goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
