*Job Summary:* The Daycare Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the daycare kitchen and providing nutritious and healthy meals for children.
They will work closely with other staff, parents/guardians, and community partners to ensure a safe and healthy environment that supports the growth and development of children.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Plan and prepare nutritious and healthy meals and snacks for children, and ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and regulations.
* Develop and maintain menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of children, and accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
* Manage inventory and order supplies, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of food and supply usage.
* Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
* Collaborate with other staff, Site Director, and community partners to create a positive and supportive work environment, and foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
*Qualifications:* * Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field preferred but not required.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen, with at least 1 year of experience in a management or supervisory role.
* Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and state licensing requirements and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively, and create a positive and supportive work environment * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
